This was my first visit with Dr. Barnes but my initial reaction is Very Positive indeed. He was very knowledgeable about the issue that brought me to see him and communicated thoroughly and clearly.

[redacted]I've been associated with Dr. Barnes, Dr. Barnes, I'm sorry, since [redacted] when I came down with Noah Hodgkin's lymphoma. And I always felt comfortable with him. I always had a lot of confidence in him. And he always was polite. He always made me feel like his time was mine. And I only have praise for him. He didn't cure me, but I'm in remission thanks to him. And I would definitely recommend him to anybody. And that's it.

The interaction with the care provider was the best so far. They addressed my questions about my short- and long-term health concerns and provided detailed responses, covering most of my follow-up questions.

Dr. Barnes and the whole staff at the Lymphoma Center have always been terrific. It's probably 8 years or more since I started with them and through thick and thin they have been fabulous. MGH should be very proud of this unit.

I was very pleased with my visit with Dr. Barnes, whom I was seeing for the first time. He introduced himself and told me a bit of his background. He had already reviewed aspects of my medical history pertinent to my current diagnosis, and asked me many pertinent questions. He gave me a great deal of information relating to the lab tests I'd had recently, and what their results might indicate. He also gave me a lot of information about new tests he felt were indicated, and what their results might reveal. Throughout, he was encouraging and reassuring in terms of what the findings might or might not be. I had plenty of time to express what my goals were for the appointment , and ask to questions about what he presented to me. He was careful to define any terms he felt might be unfamiliar to me. I went to the lab after leaving the appointment. When he phoned me later in the day to talk about results that were already available, I was amazed and impressed. I liked that he referred to himself as Jeff Barnes (not "Dr Barnes") twice. It's a small detail, but telling, in my view. I'm grateful that I was referred to this practice, and will see him again for follow up.

I found Dr. Barnes to be familiar with my health chart and provided a thorough examination. He updated me on all the new discoveries happening in my cancer field. Dr. Barnes was reassuring that my cancer treatment was the best. Dr. Barnes is a kind and compassionate person.

I loved meeting Dr. Barnes and talking with him. He was kind, supportive, informative, and willing to talk loudly enough for me to hear and understand him, despite my worsening hearing loss.

He is an excellent, skilled oncologist, who explained my medical condition and treatment very well, and was generous with his time in answering all my questions.

MD was very knowledgeable . He knows my history and will set up a return visit in 6 months. Answered my questions . I told him I wasn't feeling well-had bad headache and pain in my leg. He didn't offer any advice. Because I was worried about headaches and CAA and my vascular neurologist said anytime I have bad headache to get it checked out or call 911. I went to NWH ER.Had tests including CT and alright.

No problem.

I was seen by Dr. Barnes in a very timely manner. All the people I dealt with prior to that were very professional and cordial. The receptionist, the nurse, all very good. Dr. Barnes was on time and he was very informative, set up a number of tests for me and explained each and every one of them, why he was doing it and what we could expect. And he scheduled an appointment to follow up and explain all the results to me. So it's very, very pleased. Thank you.

My experience from walking into the hospital to leaving after my appointment was superb, and the care provider was very professional, thoughtful, and considerate.

Dr. Barnes seemed to know a great deal about my condition. He clearly had read all the information about the treatment I had been receiving up until that point and proposed an entirely new path of treatment, which I found very appealing. He said he would then contact the oncologist I had been working with in Florida. to work out a new plan for me and would get back. I have not heard from him, but it was only a week ago. I was very impressed.

Dr. Barnes is a true professional. The reason for my appointment was for a second opinion for a diagnosis for which I had been under observation for two years, but I had many questions about it and the treatment.
