Informative and pleasurable

Dr. Commander is a very personable and patient provider with a great bedside manner. I appreciate his expertise in the IRD field and highly value his thoughtful input regarding my particular issue.

First time I met Dr , very easy to talk to answering all my questions, explaining my diagnosis very clearly and took time to explain to a [redacted] year old .

I had a fantastic experience. The two doctors were incredibly professional, took the time to explain everything clearly, and the entire staff made me feel welcome and valued.

The doctor knows his stuff and is compassionate.

Always good support and information despite solutions not being available. I was in a rough mood the entire day for a variety of reasons and Dr. Comander picked up on it. He told me about therapy services related to our issues being available. While having my eyes dilated and examined for 3+ hours is annoying, it wasn't the main cause of my distress. I very much appreciate Dr. Comander for recognizing my emotional state and offering assistance. Very evident that he cares about his work and his patients and i appreciate that a lot. And i apologize for my crabby behavior, for those who were witness to it.

Dr. Comander is kind, caring and always goes above and beyond listening and informing me of my eye condition. I greatly appreciate him and his staff. Seeing Dr. Comander and his team is always well worth the trip from Rhode Island.

I've been going to the MEEI for years! I feel very comfortable with the care I get there and the competence of the physicians. I feel very confident in the care I get from Dr. Comander and I know he will always take very good care of me. Dr. Comander has been consistently kind, and caring. Despite this being an annual appointment, he continues to follow my eye care history methodically, remembering past issues and addressing what may be coming up for my sight.

I didn't feel the doctor remembered my history. I had a lot of difficulty hearing him. My husband told me later what he said. The resident who was with him spoke loudly and clearly. Whan I read the note later it was helpful but my husband did not recall all the info he said about diet.

I really like seeing Dr. Comander at mass eye near. He explained more to me about my eyes. He also explained more about when I went three years ago about the genetic testing and what type of RP I actually have so that was good to see him this year and I like him very well. I look forward to seeing him in the next two years.

Dr. Commander is kind and humble in his approach to talking with patients. The pace, however, is somewhat quick and by its nature one feels a little bit disempowered in terms of having enough time to ask about the results of the tests one completes. He makes up for this by his attitude and kindness.

Yes, I've been going to the doctor. This is one of the best experiences I ever had. The doctor took time out of his busy schedule because I'm visually impaired, to walk me to the elevator, went down to the lobby, and walked me to the exit door. I was overwhelmed. Because we need prior testing on visit day- we see many different people and areas within the pod- this runs very smoothly and everyone is willing to help keep it as efficient as possible -kudos to the crew!
