Jason G Barrera, MD, PhD

Dr. Barrera is a wonderful primary care doctor. He is thoughtful, friendly, kind, and very, very easy to talk to. He seems to manage to keep in mind my pretty complex medical history and treatment experiences, and he takes these into account very well in making a treatment plan for my care. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a superb doctor.

Dr. Barrera seemed very present. Asked great questions. Listened to information I reported, setting up immediate tests that led to relevant results. Dr. Barrera was then sure to call me with immediate results and next steps. Having met him for the first time, I think he was very responsive and provided great care having known little about my medical history.

Dr. Barrera makes me feel comfortable and informed about most of my decisions with my medical treatment. He seems to be very caring and I feel like he's a friend that's advising me.

I've had Dr. Barrera for about 9 years as my PCP. He's caring, sincere and honest. He listens to my concerns and allows me to be myself without forcing me to take a medication I am not comfortable with. I like changing my diet to help with blood pressure and cholesterol issues. He is knowledgeable and he never makes me feel stupid, even though I am elderly. I'm not surprised that he received a promotion because he is dedicated to what he does.

What can I say except that Dr Barrera is the best! I cannot think of enough adjectives to describe him. I'll try: caring , thoughtful, thorough, kind, knowledgeable, etc! So fortunate to have him as my primary doctor!!

Dr. Barrera is a terrific PCP

My mother has been a patient of Dr. Barrera's for quite some time now, many years. I'm her daughter. I'm her healthcare proxy. And my mom has Alzheimer's disease and a bunch of other comorbidities. And Dr. Barrera is honestly the best doctor I've ever, you know, been in communication with for her care. And being, you know, her family, he is just so respectful and listens to what we have to say. The best part is that he takes into consideration things that I suggest, which is, you know, remarkable that he would listen to, you know, patients and family so much. He's extremely patient with us and he's, always in communication with us either by patient gateway or calling himself.

As always, Dr. Barrera is thorough, explains everything in a way that is easy to understand, and is very pleasant and friendly to talk to. He's the best PCP I've ever had
