I work in the MGB system and travel [redacted] during the week to see Dr. Weitzman. I only do that because of the trust I have in this provider.

I have been a patient of Dr. Weitzman since 2016, and have enormous respect and affection for him. He always responds to my questions very quickly, thus I am never left worrying unnecessarily.

No fault of the doctor, as he was backed up in his schedule, no doubt giving good care to other patients as well, as it could have been me, but I find it very objectionable to be placed in an examining room and sit there and wait for 40 minutes because the doctor is backed up. I should be allowed to sit in the reception area until the doctor is available.

Dr. Weitzman was fabulous as a hematologist. He explained everything thoroughly. He listened to questions. He gave the right tests for blood work. He got back to us immediately about the results. He had a plan going forward. We cannot say enough things about his expertise, professionalism and kindness.

Dr Weitzman is in my experience The Gold Standard of MD's. This based upon a decade of surgeries and MD's who fall short. Also from experience it appears is going the same route as B&W. Meaning your overbooking allows long waits and short visits. moved my care from B&W to BIDMC because B&W is no longer in health care. They are in my experience in the profit by any means business & using medicine to get there.

Dr Weitzman is knowledgeable and very personable. He asks questions, listens to my answers and concerns, and checks the results of the blood tests in making his recommendations. A great doctor.
