Dr. Stephen's has a very kind and easy going personality which puts you instantly at ease.

I am scheduled for surgery at the end of November and Dr Stephen spent the time to explain everything to me in detail and gave my wife and I the confidence we needed that he is the doctor for my procedure.

Dr. Stephen is one of the most knowledgeable and kindest doctors I have had the pleasure of meeting and treating me. I had emergency back surgery last year and that and the follow-up has been super. He also was confused about why they sent me to him when I should have been sent to a arthritis doctor or pain clinic.

Dr., Stephen is wonderful. He takes time to explain in "English" the reasoning, the results, future, anything else important. He certainly knows exactly what his job is and at the same time very courteous and understanding. My injury caused me to have a different Neurosurgeon, however, my faith in Sr., Stephen caused me to contact him for help and he was very accomodating. I thank him.

Dr. Stephen and his staff were great. They were professional, patient, listened carefully, explained things carefully, and took a great deal of time in managing my situation, including a some complicated insurance situation. My first time as a new patient of Dr. Stephen and I was extremely happy with him. He was very pleasant to talk to and he also explained surgery in terms I could understand, even though I had a previous back surgery in [redacted]

Dr. Stephen spent an exceptional amount of time with me- showing and explaning test/images /reports in language that I could understand to better understand my situation, reviewing my medical history and experiences at NE Baptist, and most importantly, Dr. Stephen welcomed my many questions with patience and presented options for care in a way that invited my participation. I felt that we were in dialog instead of it being a one way conversation, which helped to lessen my concerns about my spine health going forward. He gave advice regarding pain management as well as an invitation to return should my symptoms increase. Most of all, Dr. Stephen considered my overall well-being and best interests along with his medical advice- recognizing the impact of life style changes that result from invasive surgery. His attention to more than the spine films but also my overall mental and physical health was truly appreciated at a time when I was feeling fragile and vulnerable.
