I saw Dr Ignacio Inglessis-Azuaje, MGH Interventional Cardiac Associates, and his Cardiac Fellow Dr. [redacted], who spent 15-20 minutes with me and my husband before Dr Inglessis arrived. Both were outstanding in their clear explanations of my issues (around a PFO closure procedure) and how to resolve them. I was very impressed with both doctors and grateful to have all my questions and concerns answered.

Professional experience

I was very impressed with the timely manner I was able to be seen. Dr. Inglessiswas very informative and spent a lot of time explaining about my aortic stenosis and the options I have in treating it. I felt very comfortable asking questions. I came away feeling confident in the decision I made in my treatment.

It's very informative

This is a phenomenal provider. Given my medical history coming over and inaccurate information in my chart, I felt I needed a little bit more time to explain to him my medical history. This isn't the provider's fault, he only has so many minutes to meet with me. But at the end of the visit, when he repeated information back to me, some of it was inaccurate because it was based off of some inaccurate/oversight from the medical record. The only way to clarify this is through talking. I wasn't given more than a couple minutes to speak. About 3 minutes.

Yes, it was a good visit with lots and lots of information. I went there to, I thought I was going there to find out about TAVR, a valve replacement, but two other things were mentioned, aryndectomy I think it is, and open heart surgery. So the TAVR was not talked about for some reason. Alright, that's enough. Thank you.

Since this was my first visit with a cardiologist I didn't know what to expect. It only took a few minuets to realize the provider was very knowledgable and confident in his specialty which made me feel very comfortable. He explained my current condition and what tests were needed to determine how we should move forward. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
