The doctor seems very knowledgeable and confident which I appreciate. I just wish she would've been tuned to my emotional state a little bit more; the information was quite overwhelming because I was overwhelmed. It was hard to take everything she was saying. I wish we could've gone slower and the information delivered in a softer manner, especially since I'm recovering from illness and I'm not at full speed.

She is a skilled surgeon,very thorough and has a wonderful sense of humor!

The care was excellent overall for my responses. And the comment I did have was post-op. It seemed a good idea to tell my ride, the person coming to pick me up, to take me to the pharmacy because there were certain pharmacy, the painkiller and a laxative and so forth painkiller prescription things to get from the pharmacy. And because I didn't have that on my mind, we just went home and I got those things the next day. But that had been some sort of a reminder between patient and the ride that would have been really helpful. And shifting gears, a little more advice in terms of when to resume medications. Pre-op told us when to stop medication.

They're very knowledgeable, caring and make you feel very comfortable.

Dr. Michaelson listened and she explained things in an easy to understand manner. She's easy going, pleasant and funny. She shows careful consideration of the issue and doesn't just rush you into any particular plan of care. She is cautious about the issue, gives sound medical advice and orders testing that will help make the correct decision for the issue. She had no issue stating that she may not be the right surgeon for the issue and that based on test results, may have to be referred to a different specialty surgeon. There is no feeling of being just another number or being scheduled for surgery to make some more revenue. I had the same experience with her myself. I saw the PA who was going to remove a lipoma & was scheduled for the procedure. I was not happy with how the PA conducted herself during my consult and asked to have my procedure rescheduled with Dr. Michaelson. The day of my procedure Dr. Michaelson came in & examined the area before the procedure. She stated she did not feel it was a lipoma and advised that if she were to proceed I could end up with lymphedema for the rest of my life and that she was not willing to risk that for me. I was in total agreement when I heard this. I wonder what would have happened if I had not rescheduled the procedure with Dr. Michaelson & hate to even think about it. I have zero complaints about Dr. Michaelson.

I enjoy my visits with Dr. Michaelson very much. She's quick, but covers everything that I need to know, and she gave me an excellent breast exam, which is always helpful.

I felt reassured by her degree of knowledge about the problem I was experiencing.

Doctor Michaelson is an excellent doctor and surgeon. She explains everything to you relating to the visit. Takes time with you does not rush you out. I hope I don't lose her.

She was very considerate, kind. My daughters were with me. She made sure that not only me, but my daughters understood what was going to happen, what she expected would happen. She gave us a list of things to think about. She left the room, told us we could call her back, whether we could meet in the scheduling office and let them know what type of surgery I wanted. And we did that, and she was fantastic. And the schedule was just as well fantastic when we got there and all the notes.
