Hannah J. Parker, MD studied at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She then completed her post-baccalaureate premedical program at Bryn Mawr College.
In 1998, Dr. Parker earned her medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in 2002.
After completing her residency, she became a faculty member at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center until 2007 when she took a sabbatical and spent some time abroad in London to focus on her children and their upbringing. During this time, she focused on developing positive social interactions for mothers in her community. This reignited her passion for obstetrics and she returned to practice at Commonwealth OB-GYN and the faculty of Harvard Medical School in 2011.
Dr. Parker is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr Parker’s interests include building healthy communities for mothers and their infants/young children that support breastfeeding, positive childrearing models and supportive social networks.
