About Halide Bilge Turkozer

Halide Bilge Turkozer, MD, is a staff psychiatrist at McLean Hospital and an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She is also an investigator at McLean Hospital’s Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder Research Program. Her clinical interests include emerging serious mental illnesses in children, adolescents, and young adults. Her research focuses on risk biomarkers of serious mental illnesses in youth. More specifically, Dr. Turkozer investigates early brain changes that are potential risk indicators for psychotic and bipolar disorders in children and adolescents.

Dr. Turkozer serves on the Steering Committee of the Consortium for Vision and Oculomics in Psychiatry (CVOP) and chairs CVOP’s Education Committee. She has received awards from McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Society of Biological Psychiatry. She is also a recipient of the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation’s prestigious Young Investigator Grant.
