Knowledge regarding my issues

I was immediately put at ease by his friendly greeting and humor. He presented me with all of the in depth info I requested in a thoughtful and proficient manner. I felt well informed and confident with his diagnosis.

The doctor listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I would have liked to hear if there was any additional treatment options available for me.

He talks in long monologues without being prompted - no chance to interject, he poses a question then answers it for himself. Not necessarily a problem, just quite peculiar to talk for an extended period of time when the patient hasn't asked a question.

Dr Papaliodis is a wonderful, caring, respectful, knowledgeable and brilliant person and doctor. I have been seeing him for about 11 years now...i travel from western MA to see him. I feel he has saved my vision!

Dr Papaliodis is the best eye Dr I have had in my entire life. This does not mean I have had bad eye Drs, it simply means I believe he is the best I have had in my life to date. He either has a great memory of me and my health issues or takes the time to study my records before seeing me. He addresses my concerns and makes sure that I understand. He always asks if there is anything else that needs to be addressed before ending our appointment. Care provider was very good, issue is with reception. When my exam was done and I needed to check out, my receptionist was at lunch, and another was not available to assist me. I realize lunch time is prescheduled, but I don't understand why other receptionists were unable to cover.

When I checked in I was not provided with information regarding any delay. I ultimately waited over 70 minutes to be taken from the waiting room. No apology was made for the delay by anyone, except when I specifically requested an apology and I feel I as treated less well because I asked why I wasn't called to say it would be over an hour late. I could have stayed at work. I was just informed I Would Be Charged If I Were Late. I could have been told there would be substantial delay when I check in, but I was not, forcing be to spend over 70 minutes sitting when I could have done something else.

Dr. Papaliotis is extremely thorough. He asks questions sometimes that gives information for things that I wanted to mention to him. However, it slipped my mind, so it got covered anyway. And I'm always pleased at the end of my visit that I received the best care possible.
