I found the visit with this provider and team very satisfying. They reviewed my medical history, recommended tests to confirm previous results, had an open discussion about other tests specifically to identify genetic traits. All in a very relaxed and professional setting.

Dr. McMahon has always been thorough, informative and concerned about my kidney health. I had a three day stay at the Brigham, via the ED, a month before my scheduled checkup. When he arrived he had prepared for my visit by reviewing my hospital notes from my stay. We went over all of them and he explained and remarked on all of them. I am 100% secure in the care he gives me for my Kidney Disease. I would recommend him to anyone.

Hi, I'd just like to say that I learned so much about where my kidneys were and what the plan would be and how to correct what's going on right now to keep some longevity and the next steps and the trajectory. I felt very comfortable that he reviewed and knew my kidney case very well as I'm a heart transplant patient and I was thoroughly happy.

Not enough room to give the in-depth accolades I would like concerning ALL aspects of my visit, from scheduling to the encounter itself, and with every individual involved. Most importantly, I was treated as an individual, a rarity today in medical practice. Also, at no time did I feel rushed, and I felt heard, even when I veered off the narrow topic of my particular medical condition.

Very comfortable talking with him. Does not put himself above other people, given his importance as a very good Nephrologist/MD. Follow up on office visit/lab results was very timely.

DR McMahon is a true healer! He seems to care very much about my situation. Like many patients today my primary Internist (at Atrius Health in Concord) is on my Primary in name. I have never met him. My main concern is that my Nephrologist at MGBW and my Cardiologist at MGBW communicate. I think medicine in this day and age needs for Specialist to sort of but the general Internal Medicine parts of their training to good use. It seems like doing this is necessary in these crazy times when finding an Internist is nearly impossible.
