I was pleasantly surprised. This is my first visit. It was basically a consol and I was very surprised. He knew so much about my medical history. I have a very complicated medical history with autoimmune diseases and stuff and he was very well knowledgeable in my medications. He made me feel very much at ease and also he listened to what I had to say and I felt comfortable and I know in my first meeting with him, I felt heard and I felt that I can trust his decisions and his input in my overall medical care. I was very, very happy with my appointment with him.

Dr Hunninghake was very well prepared for our meeting. He had taken the time to look back though my extended file and was very informed as to my health record. I found him very helpful in explaining things to me and his mention of calling my cardiologist to consult with him about my care was very important to me. My daughter accompanied me and he was always careful to include [redacted] in the conversation.

I saw two providers during my visit, one from Rheumatology, the other from pulmonology. Both were very cordial and polite, and it was obvious that they had read at least part of my files. Where I feel they could improve is in the area of listening to the patient. They seemed to have made a decision about what I needed for care without talking to me and didn't seem interested in what I had to say. Again, they were likable and pleasant enough, but I think it's important that you collaborate with your patients on the treatment plannfor the best outcome.

I saw Dr. Hunninghake and Dr. [redacted]. They were both familiar with the issues I had going on and they explained their thoughts on the diagnosis and what differed in their view on the diagnosis I had been given by the previous doctor My primary care wanted me to see Dr. Hunninghake because of his familiarity with sarcoidosis. Dr. Hunninghake and Dr. [redacted] were clear about how the results on the biopsy could be interpreted differently. Additional blood tests were ordered, and they explained that the medication I am currently on could alter the results on the tests.
