Dr. Keane is an attending Radiation Oncologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. She graduated from the University of Virginia with high honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in her third year. She received her MD with honors from Yale University School of Medicine, winning the American Cancer Society Prize for an outstanding thesis in the area of Oncology. After completing her intern year in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, she then completed her residency training at the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program.
She specializes in the treatment of thoracic tumors, including lung cancer, esophageal cancer and rare thoracic tumors such as thymoma, thymic carcinoma and mesothelioma. She is active in research, with a particular focus on the use of immunotherapy and targeted therapies with radiotherapy.

I think I'm supposed to tell you about my provider. She's very kind, patient. She listens very carefully and she's very skilled. I have tremendous faith in that, in her, that I am getting the best possible care. I think she's one of the top doctors in the field, and I'm so lucky to have her as my doctor.

This facility and the doctors, the staff, the staff at this hospital, even the Valley Park in attendance, everybody here is wonderful. I would recommend this hospital over any hospital I have ever been in. It is wonderful. They listen, they talk to you, they advise you. They are just beautiful people, listeners. I love it. I love it, love it, love it.

What I am facing medically is causing me some anxiety. Dr. Keane could not have been more understanding and gentle with that. Her voice is clear, soft, distinctly understandable. I was so relaxed by how she delivered information, explained procedures, and went through my scans I didn't even realize it right away. Every question I asked she answered kindly and with respect even if they were not too smart. I am being treated like gold by my doctors, and I am grateful. I expect successful surgery, full recovery and positive follow up. Dr. Keane is exceptional.
