Dr. Colignese is highly knowledgeable and is attentive to details. She also genuinely cares about her patient's health and well being. When she walks in the room she is smiling ear to ear, like she is genuinely happy to see you. She goes over everything. Does an exam and answers all of my or my husband's questions. Dr. Coglianese is extremely professional, informative and genuinely concerned about my care and well being. She saw me earlier than appointment scheduled (10 minutes) and gave my wife and I 45 minutes to discuss history, medications, blood work, stress test appointment and a thorough evaluation. A+!!

My former cardiologist was [redacted] MD. I loved working with him and he saved my life on multiple occasions. He also planned ahead and was thoughtful and thorough.. Dr Coglianese is just like Dr. [redacted] in so many ways and is completely engrossed in her work but not to the degree where she doesn't reach out and tell you what she's thinking what are her strategies? What is her initial plan? If it's this? How do we follow through if it's that how do we follow through? She is not only a great cardiologist but a great great physician and a nice human being. I chose her after Dr [redacted] retired because her knowledge and reputation in the field procedure and I looked up her bibliography. Dr. Coglianese and the staff at MGH are great. The problem is not with the doctors or staff; it is with arriving at MGH and the understaffing at the check-in/check-out desks, due to what I assume are cutbacks. Arriving at MGH was terrible. Fortunately, I allotted extra time as it was nearly impossible to enter the parking garage due to the construction. I feel terrible for those patients who will be late to their appointments and have to undergo undue stress because of your negligence. A solution may be to assign MGH police officers to direct traffic. For an institution that prides itself on customer care, this issue is an abomination. Also, it was evident that cutbacks were affecting the quantity and quality of the check-in and check-out processes. Again, the quality of care I received was amazing, but having to wait in line, and more importantly, to have to see elderly patients with, I assume, heart conditions, waiting in a line that snaked into the hallway is completely unacceptable. You need to do better!

I'd just like to say that I have extreme trust in my provider, Dr. Coglianese. She has followed me and shown me that my health is a priority as far as she's concerned and the treatments that I am about to embark upon will hopefully extend my life.
