Simply that he took the time to make some comprehensive steps moving forward and listen.

This doctor (department head) spent 3 hours on my case: two to go over all medical history and images before i artived, and one hour in a face-to-face first visit with me. Throughout he was kind, thoughtful, & knowledgeable about my issue. Time was important so he personally oversaw getting scan & bloodwork tests & a referral appt as soon as possible. After this, he wrote up a multi-page, complete history and treatment plan with images & forwarded it to the involved doctors. This was the most extraordinary medical experience I have ever had with a doctor whose superlative diagnostic expertise and personal skills have left an appreciated life-time impression on me the patient.

I can't remember the last time I spent that much time with a doctor when I wasn't under anesthesia. He did not have knowledge of a surgery I'd had, but I was able to give it to him.

I am grateful to Dr. Isselbacher for taking me into his care, after I was referred to him by Dr. [redacted]. Dr. Isselbacher is very well-informed about my case. He was highly recommended by Dr. [redacted] because of his understanding about control of blood pressure after aortic dissection. During my visit, he was generous with his time and I appreciated his answers to my questions as well as setting into motion a program leading to a better recovery. [redacted] Dr. Isselbacher provided a background and an overview to help me understand my situation more fully. He showed me several views of my CT scans and explained the effects and anticipated outcomes of the medications I am taking. The doctor started by giving me a detailed summary of my medical history from a prior review of 5 different hospital records over 5 years. He did a great job of summarizing a complex history after researching. He got it 100% correct. I have never seen a doctor do so much research from prior records at different medical institutions. very impressive. Much appreciated. Plus he spent time to explain the medical condition with pictures etc. The most impressive doctors visit i have experienced
