The urination testing and Sample was new to me. It was explained but I found it kind of strange. It might help to put it in the information for patients before they arrive.

They checked in on me, kept me updated on my surgery timing, diagnosed my problem that was difficult to diagnose and which had gone undiagnosed and misdiagnosed in the past. I was not satisfied with this surgical consult and left without being confident that I can make a well-informed treatment decision. Doctor seemed to have given only limited reading of my case record prior to seeing me. She took a good history, appeared to do a good exam, and seems to be a very competent surgeon. However, there was a real asymmetry of information. I have a problem she has seen lots of times before and it's just another day at the office for her. But it was new and significant for me. She talked very quickly. I had to ask her go back and explain her diagnostic observations and walk through possible treatment options. Despite having a notepad and pen with me, I couldn't take notes while I was half naked and trying to understand what she was telling me. I asked as many questions as I could think of. Even so, I worry that I didn't ask about everything that was relevant. I don't feel that there was adequate support of my decision making as a patient during this visit. It's not enough to just to tell me that it's my choice whether to have a surgery or not.

I don't remember the fellow's name, but it was easily evident that she was well trained by her attending. I'm not happy about Brigham women's/ partners organization as it's hard to get an appointment, not enough staff, the quality over the years has gone down and worry the Management does not care anymore like it used to be. I know few people moving away from some of the partners mass general practice to other providers
