Dr. Martin was amazing. I saw her for a second opinion. The foot and ankle surgeon I saw at UMassMemorial was scheduling me for a major foot reconstruction surgery without even looking at my MRi or x-rays. He actually didn't even order the xray or MRI until after that appointment where he explained the surgery. Dr. Martin actually explained the MRI to me and pointed out the tear on my tendon. The UMassMemorial doctor told me that wasn't necessary - he'd see me in surgery. Dr. Martin was tremendously reassuring that I didn't need major reconstruction - that it would be a smaller procedure if I even needed it. They sent me home with a walking boot/air cast which she thought might give my tendon time to heal on its own. They couldn't get the MRI to load in the system, so she called me the next day and gave me a long time on the Zoom appointment. I felt encouraged to ask a lot of questions, and she never led me to think I was bothering her or keeping her longer than she wanted to. I am extremely happy with the care I received from her!

Dr. Martin is the quintessential ideal doctor. Personable, thorough, thoughtful, experienced, knowledgeable, and caring. I travel to her for a reason and she never disappoints. I consider it an honor to be under her care.

I think Dr. Martin is an excellent doctor. However, I think she promises things that she can't necessarily deliver on. I was told that my surgeries, because I need two of them, would be scheduled like three or four weeks apart, and she said that wasn't really a big deal. But when scheduling called me, that ended up not being the case, and I have to wait for the first operation, and then I won't get the second one for almost two months. So I think she needs to clarify what she could realistically deliver on before she makes promises she can't keep. Other than that, I think she's an excellent doctor, and I look forward to working with her.

We couldn't ask for a better care provider than Dr Martin, along with PA. I have a long history with her due to surgeries from a previous doctor not going so well. Her hard work, and dedication are most likely the reasons I am able to use my foot.

Excellent experience. Dr was running very behind, but treated me as if she was ahead of schedule. Very composed and competent. Extremely good explaining complex subjects.

Dr. Martin was smart and helpful. She listened attentively and referred me to radiology injection.

They saw me earlier and I was scheduled. They made me feel like an individual because they had to search me out to get me there earlier. Everybody from soup to nuts was very helpful and informative. I thought the visit was a little short and Dr. Martin didn't wrap my wound carefully enough on the way out Just put it up medium sized Band-Aid on it. My registered nurse ex-wife was surprised at that. The hospital itself is beautiful. Well designed, the lunchroom is fantabulous. Good food no overcrowding when I was there twice. The buildings are confusing, but that's only natural.

Dr. Martin was excellent and listen to all my questions and provided answers and suggestions to all. She is an excellent provider. She was also very pleasant and upbeat in her personality and presentation. Her physicians assistant, [redacted] was equally helpful, pleasant and informative. I felt lucky to have gotten to see both of them as this was my first time visiting Westwood.

That person was very explicit and explained things to me, just like I really wanted to hear, I am very grateful.

Did not see the primary doctor, only saw the PA. She was knowledgeable and caring. Was expecting to also discuss with the primary being the 1st visit but felt it was brushed off with unavailability excuse.

It is a great hospital with excellent care

My first time meeting Dr Martin, I found her to be easy to communicate with, she has a pleasing personality. Dr Martin reviewed my x rays, and explained possible causes for the pain I experience. Offering her advice in moving forward, and to revisit with her if things improve.

I have been seeing Dr. Martin yearly for a few years. I greatly appreciate that she watches me yearly to see if anything changes to warrant surgery but does not jump to surgery until needed. She always listens to me and gives me suggestions and answers all my questions

Took care of my needs

I was able to discuss all of my own research into my orthopedic issues. I've had multiple orthopedic issues over my career as an Ironworker. So I've had to do my own research. I couldn't go to a health care professional every time I had issues. I needed to take care of myself. So when I did need professional help I sought out the best doctors I could find. The doctors , nurses and other medical personnel in the Brigham/ Mass General network have been the absolute best. I really appreciate the care I have received Thanks to everyone that have taken care of of me I'm blessed
