I consider myself very fortunate to have Dr. Ross overseeing the care of my thyroid and parathyroids. One of my best doctors extremely attentive to my questions, but also he is not about rushing or getting to the next patient.

I always feel confident, when I see Dr. Ross, that I am seeing the perfect doctor for my thyroid. I have been seeing him for many years. Back in [redacted] he was seeing me every 4 months, because he was worried about the right side. Sure enough some cancer cells showed up. He said surgery was necessary. They removed the right half. He caught it so early that I did not need radiation! I am so appreciative!

The visit went well for the most part but it would've been nice to know in advance that he was training someone and they'd be apart of the procedure. They were only supposed to take 5 samples but did not place the needle correctly and did not get a sample. So I had to have an extra stick. Dr. Ross was nice enough but he needs to slow down and during the biopsy procedure, he stuck the needle in so fast it felt sharp and painful compared to when the needle went in slowly it was much less painful.

I've been struggling with the side effects and treatment of thyroiditis, so was incredibly fortunate to get in to see such an expert clinician as well as care provider. My only issue would be that sometimes I don't understand the medical part of it, like why something is the way it is. But that's, I mean, then I would ask the question, he would explain it more. Hi, my experience with Dr. Ross and his assistant, [redacted] is that they are the most responsive, most caring providers that I have experienced in the entire Mass General system. They are polite, they are courteous, they are accurate, they get back to me right away, they follow through, they express a genuine interest in what's going on for me and how I'm doing, and that seems to happen flawlessly and in a timely manner that is very responsive to the situation.

Dr Ross is an exceptional clinician, and his office manager is extremely helpful and well-organized. I travel to Mass General specifically because of the level of care I have had over the years with thyroid issues, surgery, and follow-up. I have complete trust in the careful support I receive from Dr Ross's office. He is a very caring and perceptive doctor - my regular checks at the hospital were interrupted by travel and COVID, but he still kept a watchful eye from a distance. A scan done elsewhere showed a possible nodule that might have been cancerous, and Dr Ross was very helpful communicating at distance about what tests I should advocate for, and what was reassuring/still needed in terms of information. I have the highest opinion of his skill, and also his care in dealing with me as a patient.
