Dr Dahl has been excellent at providing technical aspects of the entire surgery. He is calm, cool and collected and clearly brilliant as a pioneer of laparoscopic surgery. He is the very best at what he does and I feel so comfortable that I may be asleep on the ride into Newton-Wellesley !!!

I think Dr. Dahl is a very competent doctor and I was very pleased with his whole approach during the operation and certainly yesterday in our follow-up. If I were to offer any suggestions, not to him personally, but to his office when we met shortly after the operation, he said, you know, we kind of own you for the next few years, but there has been no contact from his office during the intervening two and a half year period. I think that means it.

Prior to the appointment, I was very apprehensive about my options. Dr. Dahl explained all the options to me, both pros and cons, and allowed me the time to decide the best course of action. I felt all my questions were answered in a way I could understand. I elected the surgical route because it was best for me. Dr. Dahl exuded confidence, knowledge and professionalism.

the provider was about 30 minutes late to the meeting. There was no way that I could figure to get an update on the doctor's running behind schedule. It wasn't clear to me whether the doctor was just running late or if there was a technical glitch. I understand that the schedule can run behind and it wasn't a big deal but it would be great if there was some way of communicating to the office what the reason was for the delay and how long it might be before I was going to be "seen". Maybe a chat feature within zoom or someone from the office briefly joining the call to give an update on the timing. Just waiting while staring at the computer was awkward and frustrating.

Dr. Dahl has been my urologist for over 21 years. He is the best. I live in Florida but come to MGH 2 to 4 times a year for follow up with Dr. Dahl.

Of all of the physicians that I have seen at MGB in the last 29 years, Dr. Dahl is the best prepared for my visit, listens very carefully, and thinks out of the box for how to deal with my symptoms.

I was expecting a few minutes to talk with my doctor before starting the procedure. Instead I was directed to undress and wait on the edge of the exam table until he came in after about 15 minutes and started the procedure almost immediately. I realize that the doctor is very busy with multiple patients, and I accept that his time is limited.

I came in for a third opinion. I was glad I did. Presents himself like a doctor should, very confident in his assessment based on knowledge and experience.

Frankly, Dr. Dahl's removal of a cancerous prostate may be the only reason I am around [redacted] and if that is too dramatic he nevertheless probably has at least prolonged my life.
