Doctor Lin is amazing! When I was scared to know I had ear cancer, he comforted me and I knew that I was in the best possible hands. I wouldnt want to be with any other doctor. He is such an upbeat wonderful person.

The doctor, Lin, and the nursing staff, and all the folks I interacted with were completely respectful, informative, and any question I had were thoroughly responded to, and I received a very positive experience. I benefit from the interaction I had with all the staff at Mass Eye and Ear.

A referral from Dr. Lin to another doctor was not sent by the front office. When I called a week later, I am not sure what happened, but the office to where I had been referred didn't hear from Dr. Lin's front office. Only when I contacted myself directly the office to which Dr. Lin wanted to refer me, did they hear for the first time about the referral from Dr. Lin. I am not sure where the problem was, the other office is at MGH. The whole referral process which should have taken a couple hours, took two weeks, and ONLY when I called them directly myself.

Good care

Dr. Lin was an excellent physician. We've had him before and we would definitely recommend anyone going to him for ear, nose, or throat issues. He was concise and clear with his response to us and we are very happy with him.

Dr. Lin did remarkable work removing a gland in my neck with an almost invisible scar resulting. His team was able to do an ultasound with almost instantaneous results to allay all concerns. Dr. Lin called me to relay the results of the ultrasound and then met with me to physically feel the neck region that was impacted.

The day I visited Dr Lin I was supposed to have a CT scan before I saw him. The machine broke down and I couldn't have it. The office was a mad house because most of us patients were in the same situation. Dr Lin and the receptionist Liz handled the situation with grace and good sense. Some people were flipping out. Dr Lin and Liz remained calm and solved the problem that they had no control over.

Dr Lin always puts my concerns first in our dealings. He makes it easy to get my needed test and then to see him after their completion.

[redacted] There are two aspects about this doctor that disappoint us. First, he lacked patience. When we asked him about the ultrasound details, he brushed them over and refused to explain them, instead pushing the responsibility onto the person who wrote the report. Second, s/he has no patience. When we told her/him that other doctors would explain and answer these details, s/he just argued with us. [redacted]
