My visit with Dr. Balaban went well. [redacted]

I just wanted to add to the feedback that I have been to many of the Brigham and Women's hospitals and this is the first time ever where the actual doctor comes out to the reception and shakes your hand, introduces himself and walks you to the office. I thought that was incredible because it makes the patient feel very, very welcomed and in this area where there's so many people waiting that have very complex issues, like all kinds of abilities to make the patient feel absolutely welcome, welcomed. It was just so impressive. I have been to lots of the campuses and from Faulkner to the main campus.

Dr. Balaban has been a breath of fresh air for me. I have CIDP, he understands it, and he's been very conscious of it in helping me deal with it. [redacted]

He was thorough, thoughtful, and I look forward to other appointments with him.

Dr. Denis Balaban provided a superb neurological intake evaluation. Before he met with me he reviewed my neurological records from my previous medical institution, and was very knowledgeable about my clinical case. He described his differential diagnostic thought process, and explained how it led to the various specific questions he asked. I've seen many neurologists at the top hospitals in the country. I have more confidence in Dr. Balaban than any other provider I've seen. He is kind and he listens. More importantly he really understands my disease and I trust his plan of care.

Dr. Balaban knew my history and asked me pertinent questions about my health. He gave me a cognitive test and I seemed to have improved from the last test. I found Dr. Balaban very professional and caring about my medical conditions. This was the first time we used a health conference on the computer. I was very satisfied .

I left with more questions and an uneasy or uncertain feeling about my prognosis than I have in the last with the last provider I saw. I don't feel that he explained things clearly or provided a lot of helpful information.

I saw Dr. Balaban. This was my second visit with him. I continue to be very impressed with his knowledge and his ability to connect with me and listen to me and make me feel heard despite the time limits of the healthcare system. He had ordered MRIs, which I wasn't aware of. and no one contacted me to follow up to see why I hadn't scheduled for the MRIs. I was able to get one of them in. I'm going to have to reschedule the other one.

Dr. Balaban is an exceptional doctor. He took the time to thoroughly explain my condition and treatment options, and he made me feel completely at ease. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Balaban was excellent.

Dr. Balaban was working with a medical school student who conducted most of the exam, that is asking the questions and tapping my reflexes and so on. The medical student did a lovely job and Dr. Balaban was thoughtful and responsive and really made sure that I didn't feel shortchanged. He was very definitely present and it felt like a wonderful learning situation and I was very pleased with that.
