I told all of the family and friends that inquired about my appointment, that I might have just met the nicest,most considerate Doctor in all of my [redacted] years. Dr. Donahue, not only explained everything to me in a way I could completely understand, but he asked me great questions about my medical issue to fully understand for himself. It was the best experience I have ever had with a doctor truly listening!

It was worth the wait

There are not enough superlatives to accurately assess this provider and his staff. From top to bottom, and in EVERY minute of interaction, only enhanced the encounter. I was accommodated at every step of the way. I have been dealing with this issue for quite some time, and in a very real exchange, I felt that this doctor and staff were the subject-matter experts everyone has purported them to be. Care and empathy were the hallmarks of the service I received. I traveled from [redacted], NY, and felt seen and heard every step of the way. This level of care and attention was something I've not experienced in my [redacted] years on this planet. This office should be emulated through every medical practitioner's office. It would make everything less intimidating and relatively enjoyable.

Dr. Donahue is one of the best providers I've ever worked with. He is caring, understanding, and incredibly knowledgeable. When I first saw him in [redacted], I was feeling hopeless after seeing countless providers without getting a clear diagnosis. He quickly recognized the symptoms I was experiencing and helped guide me forward. After surgery, I have never felt better. I recently returned to see him again for symptoms on my other side, and he has been just as helpful and thorough in discussing next steps. I highly recommend Dr. Donahue to anyone experiencing TOS.

He was polite and easy to talk with. Very vague and non specific about his impression of what I'm dealing with. Also wasn't clear if he was familiar with all the neurologist,pain management and orthopedic surgeons I've seen about ongoing symptoms. Also not sure if he's aware of the severe autonomic dysfunction diagnosis with mgb testing.

Dr. Donahue was professional, congenial and very calming, he put me at ease. I felt very comfortable with him addressing my issue.

Unbelievable. 30+ years in healthcare, now as admin. Have had many personal medical appt as well especially in past 3 years since accident. This was by far. BY FAR! The best appt with the best MD I have ever been a part of and seen. Crazy. Exceeded my expectations. Have not stopped talking about it and him since. Everyone at my hospital is sick of me talking and raving about Dr. Donahue and Mass General. Love you all.

Dr Donahue performed my TOS surgery [redacted] years ago. He is the first doctor to take my pain seriously and believe me. I felt the same way at this most recent appointment. I trust him and his care.

Dr. Donahue is probably one of the best doctors or professionals I've ever gotten to work with. He has helped me so much and he's been so respectful. I've encountered a lot of times it's difficult to find doctors taking my issues very seriously because I'm quite young and sometimes things get brushed off, but he's never brushed me off. Once he's always answered all of my questions, he's got, I think, like the most knowledge of anyone in the field, maybe globally, about thoracic outlet syndrome. And he's just been really wonderful and informative and helpful, talked to me about all my different options and kept me on as a patient to work with me through all the treatments and everything. And it's just been great. I just wanted to give the open-ended feedback because I think he's one of the best people I've ever met, I think, in the medical field. So thank you.

Dr. Donahue explains everything well and I never feel rushed. I had surgery with him and after many years of terrible symptoms I'm doing better. He carefully listened to what I had to say about the residual symptoms in my arm and hand and referred me another provider to evaluate my elbow. I will return to have surgery on my other side. I'm grateful to this provider and his office staff.

Overall a good experience

Dr. Donahue has been extremely helpful in treatments for my thoracic outlet syndrome. we discussed the option of surgery, and he gave me a thorough overview of likely outcomes and potential risks. I am glad to be working with him and his team. [redacted]

I think I would have been happier, if Dr. Donahue had actually reviewed the studies that I had, with me. I know he said that they are not good for anything, but I would feel better knowing for sure he's actually seen them, before he decides they are completely irrelevant. [redacted] I do know for sure, prior to my appointment with Dr. Donahue, I messaged on the patient gateway that I would like to have my duplex ultrasound and my recent MRA that I had at Mass General queued up for this appointment for Dr. Donahue to talk to me about. He really didn't talk to me about either of them, until I asked him if you saw them, and his response made it seem like he never looked at them.

We are so very grateful that we were able to see Dr Donahue! We finally feel like we have a treatment plan to move forward with and that I am in the place for the best care for my TOS. He was humble, patient and very thorough!

He listened and was genuinely concerned about helping me. He didnt just take my word and concern. He also asked my husband his thoughts and concerns with my condition. He is a great dr that listens and wants to help.

[redacted] Dr. Donahue spent a lot of time with me, really listening to my history with TOS. I am so thankful to finally be seeing someone who specializes in this and knows what he's doing.

They treated me with care, were thoughtful with their responses, explained everything very well, and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend highly. Dr. Donahue took plenty of time to explain things to me and to listen to my comments, questions, and history. This was so helpful especially as I am dealing with a complex chronic pain condition; no other provider I have seen for this problem has taken such time to listen and explain carefully as Dr. Donahue does.

Dr. Donahue is the best at what he does and he proved it by relieving my poor body of a lot of pain. He has the best disposition and makes you feel very confidently that you are in the best hands.

It was worth waiting almost a year for an appointment because Dr Donahue made me feel heard and was sympathetic to my pain.

Compassionate and thorough and Never condescending

Dr. Donahue took his time with visit, very knowledgeable about my condition, excellent bedside manner, on time, explained condition well so I could understand. I didn't feel rushed and he answered all my questions. I highly recommend him. Awesome personality.

The visit was extremely thorough. The Doctor clearly knew everything there was to know about the topic but was able to explain everything very clearly.
