Dr. David Kim received his dental degree (DDS) from the University of Maryland Dental School, and completed his periodontology training and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in oral biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Currently, as an Associate Professor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, he is also the Director of the Postgraduate Program in Periodontology and the Continuing Education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kim is a past recipient of the Joseph L. Henry Award recognizing excellence in research and clinical training from Harvard. In addition, he received Balint Orban Research Award, Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics, and Teaching Fellowship from the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Kim's clinical and research interests have been on the use of innovative concepts, technologies and biomaterials to enhance intraoral soft and hard tissue formation, especially by incorporating the tissue engineering concept to repair and regenerate soft and hard tissue volume for patients requiring dental implants to replace missing teeth. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and maintains a clinical practice in Boston, Massachusetts.

This is not the first time I have been treated by Dr. Kim. He has been very skilled at keeping me comfortable with anesthesia. His personality is very soothing. He works quickly. I have in fact already recommended him to friends.

Dr. Kim is a consummate professional. He is very thorough, relatable, and also he really has good bedside manner, if that's what you want to call it. But I appreciate how thorough he is and for following up. He has done both of my implants and they have just been amazing.

Although I mentioned that I have sensitive gums that bruise and bleed easily, he did cleaning harshly, and I experienced bleeding for an hour afterward.

Dr. Kim is excellent in every way-extremely skilled as a periodontist, meticulous, friendly, caring. He has done a couple of implants for me that have been a long process to build up the bone and let things heal before continuing to the next stage. Other oral surgeons have complained I have a small mouth. I guess so but he never says that. So he's working in a small space and doing an amazing job.

Of all the dental providers I've seen in my pretty long lifetime so far, Dr. Kim is one of the very best dental providers that I've ever experienced. His combination of professionalism, skill and thoughtful customer care is exceptional.

It was the quickest but most painful teeth cleaning I've ever had. It was good that it was quick but it was a little painful like I said. Maybe that's his method, just leaving my feedback. Thank you.
