I like my experience with this provider. It was pretty much good. It was our first time and then it wasn't that long for me to describe more about our experience, but what was good.

I have been with this practice for over 34 years. I came as a revisit as I had an issues . I called Monday was seen for tests and saw MD on Tuesday with results of tests . I appreciated getting the appt quickly as I have a history of breast cancer and should not have these issues

At 39 weeks pregnant, Dr Olson took it upon himself to tell me about the statistics of stillborn births on and around the due date, unprompted, before I was even examined. He then proceeded to make my husband and I give an induction date right then in the room while complaining about the scheduling process the whole time. When I had questions specifically about the discrepancy between my dilation status from his examine and the week prior, I was met with an abrasive and condescending attitude with no clarification.

Dr. Carleton Olson was one of the best OBGYNs I have ever seen, and I think that Brigham and Women's is incredibly lucky to have him as a provider. I recommended him to multiple friends in the area, felt safe with him, and my concerns and questions were respected and considered, and that he gave me the best care that I have had from an OBGYN since I have begun seeing them. So thank you very much.

I have seen Dr. Olson both in clinic and in the hospital for prenatal, L&D, postpartum, and general women's health care for the last 10 years and have always had a great experience with him. He is an excellent clinician with wonderful bedside manner!

I feel Dr Olson does not have a good bedside manner. He spent minutes talking about the scheduling difficulties he see with inductions instead of talking or listening to me about my pregnancy. [redacted]

During this pregnancy I've met with some providers where I've just felt my appointment was rushed and I was just another "check mark". However, I did not feel that way with Dr. Olson. I could tell he took the time to pre-read my chart before meeting with me. He also took the time to explain everything and actually asked what I wanted. Dr. Olson is also clearly experienced and I appreciate how he takes the time to consult with other doctors before making any decisions. I wish that had more of my appointments scheduled with him during this pregnancy.

Dr. Olson was having a hard time inserting the speculum for my pap smear. I am in my 70s so this was difficult. On the fourth try he was able to get a pap smear. He listened to me that this was painful and kept on trying a smalerl speculum. I don't think I need another pap smear for two or three years.
