About Danya L Dinwoodey

Dr. Dinwoodey received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She then moved to Boston where she completed both Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Dinwoodey also spent a year at BUMC as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She then completed an Advanced Echocardiography fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Prior to returning to MGH, Dr. Dinwoodey served as an attending cardiologist at Lahey Clinic where she held roles including Associate Director of the Echocardiography lab, Associate Program Director of the Cardiovascular Disease fellowship program and Director of the 4th year Tufts Medical School Cardiology clerkship at Lahey.

Dr. Dinwoodey is passionate about medical education and has clinical interests including echocardiography, valvular heart disease, general cardiology and women’s cardiovascular health. She sees patients both in Boston at MGH on Yawkey 5 and in Chestnut Hill at the Fish Center for Women’s Health.
