Dr. Saly is an excellent physician. She is smart, knowledgeable and explains everything clearly. She takes into account everything going on with the patient, rather than just focusing on nephrology.

This was a first appointment with Dr Saly and I was extremely impressed and grateful for her knowledge of my daughter's complex medical history. We left with a plan to better understand and hopefully treat some of her most painful issues.

The only problem was getting an appt with this provider but this is a problem throughout the entire mgh system ( other than the hand service). But the wait for Dr Saly was well worth the wait. She is an extremely good listener, very warm and caring. She explained my condition and what my plan of care will be. I trust her even though it was my first appt. I've been a nurse for 45 yrs, and I have an excellent 6th sense re: physicians and Dr Saly has that special "sauce" that makes her a phenomenal physician, and I am so lucky I am in her care and look forward to working with her.

After introducing herself, she immediately stated she was not concerned about my Kidney disease and did not want me to be worried. Explained it was very mild , which put me at ease immediately. Thoughtful, kind, personable, answered any questions I had. During the visit listened carefully, explained all aspects of Dx . I did not feel rushed or just another patient. I felt confident and respected and cared for.

Oh, the care provider was excellent. The service with the nurse was excellent. The people at the reception desk, I would rate maybe a three, because they didn't, they talked to me from a distance. They didn't get up, come to the window. They were talking to me from where they were seated. And there were about, let's see, one, two, three, four people in there. So no, I don't know if one was visiting or not, but anyway, that's the first time I've seen that. Most of the people at the front desk are more business-like. People that morning, maybe it's not typical, was very casual and, you know, like, okay, I'll get up in a second, or didn't even get up, you know, so.

I had a very positive experience with the physician and the student doctor wss also great. The one area where I believe needs improvement was the reception person. She was on the phone for a good period of time before recognizing patients waiting to check in or do labs. She is hidden behind the computers which makes it awkward to talk with her or get her attention.
