He was clear and precise about the reason why surgery is needed in my case. He expressed assurance that he "takes each and every (surgery) seriously." His demeanor was professional, yet warm, thorough in explaining that most surgeries of this type generally had great outcomes, but explained potential risks. If need be for additional scans or whatever he deems necessary, he has his secretary match the appointments to be prior to his on the same day. When I first got my biopsy results, I was pretty freaked out and upset and thinking of worst possible scenarios, meeting with the doctor and his physician's assistant. They put me at ease and my stress level immediately dropped, so I was very pleased and they were able to gauge my level of distress and respond to it appropriately.

He was as I would expect from a world renowned hospital-professional and expert.

Dr Deschler was running late in the day of my appointment and I had another appointment at Dana Farber directly after the Dr Deschler appointment. I was a little upset. In the end it worked out well. I got to both visits on time Dr Deschler's a gem! The office is so professional and courteous always!

I'm very happy with Dr. Deschler, his skills as a surgeon in addition to bed side manner is absolutely outstanding!

Care and concern for me is always very high. I was an hour early for my appointment as traffic was good (I give extra time driving in from mid-cape). The front desk, the nurse and doctor took me in within 5 mins of my arrival. That was very much appreciated (and not at all expected).

I have know Dr. Deschler for almost 20 years and he has always been the best at all areas of medical practice. From showing empathy and being supportive and kind to be an expert in his area - I would recommend him to anyone that I knew who was facing a challenge where he could be the surgeon. His receptionist has been with him almost as long as I've been coming - maybe give or take a year, and she always recognizes me and says hi even though it is just a once a year visit now.

Dr. Desclhler has treated me in the past regarding a lump I had in my throat. He performed the surgery procedure and follow up visits. He is an excellent surgeon and knowledgeable in his area. I have complete respect and trust in him. This visit involved a new growth and I was examined by 2 doctors, both who recommended an MRI to be performed for better understanding of what the growth was. Both doctors indicated that a biopsy might have to be performed.
