Dr. K is a delight! She's direct but sympathetic. I wish she could tell me I'm cured but she can't!!

I visit Dr. K. Every 6 months due to prostate cancer patient. Have utmost confidence with her. She is very busy.

As this was my first visit to the cancer center and having recently been diagnosed with advanced cancer, I was nervous and anxious. After my visit with Dr. Kournioti, I felt relieved and reassured that I was in the best place for my care. She was kind, knowledgeable and understood my fears and concerns.

She listened to my point of view with a lot more courtesy than I thought she would. She acknowledged my point of view on nutrition vis-a-vis chemo-therapy, which surprised me frankly. She was definitely not "pro-big-pharma" and was willing to acknowledge that the medical industry is moving, albeit slowly, to more respect for the role of good nutrition in personal good health and healing.

Dr. K. is always able to explain complex subjects so that I understand what's involved, whether we're discussing lab/test results, disease progression or a plan of treatment. She's made all the difference as I navigate late stage illness.
