MGH gastroenterology is the place to go if you have any Gastro problems. I personally see Dr. Velez and I zoom with [redacted] and you couldn't ask for better care and easy people to talk to. They are the best.

Dr Velez listened to what I had to say. Didn't dismiss my concerns by saying that is normal for a woman to have those symptoms. He listened an showed concern for my problems and ordered tests to try and figure out the root of the symptoms/problem

Dr. Velez already knows this because I've told him in the past, but he very quickly diagnosed a condition that I'd been suffering from for two decades. Every other doctor I'd seen about my symptoms, from my PCP (retired and present) to two other GI docs to two other neurologists were stumped. I'm very grateful.

Fortunate able to get an app't with Chris Vetez regarding significant weight loss and uncontrollable diarrhea. He gave me a lot of information about his recommendation and plan. I found him to be kind and concise about his plan for treatment

Dr. Velez listened closely and respected my questions and answers. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. The knowledge of the physicians at MGH is extensive and , as a patient, we are lucky to be the beneficiaries of their training.

He seemed impatient with me somewhat. I guess I was asking too many questions. He talked more about repeating tests that I had already done and didn't listen to me as well as I would have liked. [redacted]

One of the things I really loved about Dr. Velez when I first met with him was that he was extremely willing to listen to my questions I had. I had a lot of questions coming into the appointment, and I understand it was probably maybe a little too long, and he was pretty respectful when it came to saying that he needed to wrap it up soon. You know, I think the one thing I'd say is that if I had a little bit more feedback on certain elements of the of the issue that I was seeing him about, but I understand, too, that tests are the next step. So, otherwise, very good appointment.

He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease.

Dr Christopher Velez was absolutely one of the best providers I have ever seen. He is warm and kind and caring. His empathy was incredible. But more importantly, he gave me hope. I am trying to get my mom into him for a visit.

Dr Levez made me feel very comfortable and was so good about explaining a little bit of information then asking if I had any questions. He did that at least four times while he was explaining everything about my condition.

I knew within the first 60 seconds that I wanted this doctor on my care team. He fully understood that I had valid medical issues with a blunt honesty of what I could expect this is crucial for me to trust my care providers. Empathy is everything when trying to help someone's quality of life!

He was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind.

Dr. Velez has a wonderful "bedside" manner, he made me feel heard, and comfortable speaking about embarrassing issues. He is taking what I have complaints about seriously and ordering follow up tests to make sure there is a whole picture to decide treatment instead of just writing a prescription and writing me off.

I did not feel like Dr. Velez had gone over my medical records. He didn't realize what tests I'd had. This was a new patient visit and I felt like it was rushed through. [redacted]

He was a great listener, made me feel listened to and cared for, took a lot of time with me, made me feel better about plan moving forward. I hope I get to see him again and not just passed onto someone else.

I felt a very positive change in my appointment, in my interaction with Dr. Velez. I honestly was thinking of switching providers, but he really took time. I don't know, his bedside manner just went from like a zero to a ten. He just was very attentive, understanding, compassionate, was good at communicating what he felt, what I was going through. It was very, very helpful and just very pleasant to experience that. So yeah, I think he's doing great. Keep it up.
