Dr. Slocum is very knowledgeable about Spina Bifida (and spinal cord injury). She's the first doctor I've seen as an adult who I could have an in-depth conversation with about issues related to Spina Bifida.

It was my first visit and it was very comforting to talk to a medical professional who was familiar with spinal cord injury. I have been injured for over 50 years and it is very rare to talk to a doctor who is familiar with my situation.

As someone with Spina Bifida, I appreciated Dr. Slocum's knowledge about SCI, as demonstrated by the particular questions she asked and her thorough responses to my questions/concerns. Her manner was warm, caring and thorough.

Dr. Slocum was incredibly helpful w/ the five issues I needed help on. She is certified in the area of my medical condition: chronic spinal cord injury. She is my go-to provider for the more technical aspects of managing my health, and possesses skills and knowledge, and provides evidence-based advice in a way unique in my experience. I feel very lucky to have her as a resource to draw on.

I could not ask for better care. I consider myself so lucky to have her as my doctor!
