Dr. Fung is diligent and thorough with his exams. He takes the time to explain as well to listen to ALL my concerns. He is courteous and compassionate. He is very knowledgeable and does not rush you through the exam. Dr. Fung follows through with his given advice to see another doctor that may specialize with a specific problem I may have. If I haven't followed through with his advice he asks why then he encourages me to do so gently and I really appreciate it. He makes me feel that he takes my health seriously even though I am [redacted]. A lot of doctors are not attentive as you age I have found. Also he is proactive. When he looked back at my previous cholesterol scores other doctors had taken he noticed the scores were slowly rising every year and he put me on a statin right away. My previous two GPs said that I had a high HDL and not to worry. Since then I went to a heart doctor at MGH and he was happy and impressed that Dr.Fung put me on the statin and didn't wait. I later found that I had plaque in an artery near my heart. Truly he is the best doctor I have ever had and I have had many at my age. I hope he never leaves MGH.

My experience with this provider is extremely positive. He is an attentive listener during the appointment and takes copious notes, which he summarizes at the end of the appointment and then later posts to my Patient Gateway page. He is understanding of my medical concerns and respectful of my questions. He is an advocate of data gathering, which I much appreciate coming from a scientific profession and because it involves me in consciously monitoring my health. I always feel reassured after appointments, and positive and confident that the resources of this practice are available to me between appointments. I also appreciate the convenience and efficiency of having the lab for blood tests in the same area, and the speed - usually that same evening! - with which the results are returned, with comments from Dr Fung. I consider myself fortunate to have been directed to this practice after my previous long time provider left.

Care provider was very good. Almost very mechanical though, but definitely listened to all my concerns, addressed them all, gave good follow-up items to pursue. I did mention that I have a carpal tunnel problem in my hand and we forgot to address it. I didn't go back a second time to mention it in the end. And then I also realized I've got this mole or something going on the side of my head that I forgot to mention as well. So I wouldn't mind a follow-up with the doctor just to discuss.
