I had sent a note in patient gateway about the issue I was experiencing, but did not receive any messages back - thus decided to schedule an appointment. Got an appointment sooner than expected since someone else had canceled. Appreciate that the reception or scheduler staff was helpful. Dr Yang was is helpful and respectful and answered questions during the appointment. I think we could have determined that the appointment was not needed if my questions in the patient gateway had been answered.

Check-in at Westwood was confusing. I was ready to take the elevator to Floor 2 (Dermatology) when I noticed the self check-in screens nearby. I tried to use one, but it would not accept my zip code. I then went to the 2nd floor. The receptionist there was initially a bit testy, saying I was supposed to check in on the 1st floor. She then helped me. I clearly missed the 1st floor check-in area because I went straight to the elevator. In past visits, I always checked in at the Dermatology reception desk. Apparently that is no longer the correct procedure. I'll try to get it right next year!

Receptionist was rude. Only looked at computer Did not say. How can I help you today. Only said date of birth rudely. I complained she got her boss who was polite and great.

I went to see Dr.Yang for my hair loss issue. This issue is pretty sensitive for me, so I'm always a bit self conscious when the hair. However, Dr. Yang was very great. She showed compassion and was able to explain all the options for me to treat hair loss. I have seen other dermatologists before in other places, and they seem so rush and not spending time to talk through things with me. I will definitely return to see Dr.Yang in the future.

Dr. Yang does a great job of understanding my ethnic and gender issues regarding any growth on my body, and that's really nice and appreciated. It does get difficult to have a candid conversation with my doctor, my dermatologist doctor, when a PA or nurse's assistant is in the room because I don't feel the same vibration of care and concern. from your third party in the room. Yes, I've been treated by this healthcare provider for a number of years and she's an excellent doctor. It seems though whenever I see her, there's usually like a half hour backup. I don't know if in all my years I've ever seen her within like the actual scheduled time or a few minutes before, I mean a few minutes afterwards. So I think that's important. as far as, like, scheduling goes. But, you know, otherwise it's fine.
