Dr Shoji is the absolute best. He is very professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to review scans with me, answer questions and made me feel very comfortable. I have had surgery with Dr Shoji before, and am very grateful to be able to have him this time!

Dr Shoji was awesome! He did say it wasn't pertinent to get the surgery done anytime soon since it's not bad and a lot of people have what I have (umbilical hernia). He also said we could fix it and then not have to worry about it in the future as there is less than a 1% chance (if I heard correctly) of it happening again. I'm off on workman's comp anyways so I'm going to move forward with the surgery but Dr Shoji was funny, down to earth and generally an awesome guy that part of me figured yeah get the surgery done but you get to hang with Dr Shoji again haha. With all that being said sometimes you see a doctor or surgeon and you leave not confident but Dr Shoji you DO NOT feel that way. You leave knowing you're in the best hands and thankful your friend recommended him.

I never actually met my provider (I was under anesthesia...and this was okay), however the remaining staff and procedures were most outstanding. Every staff member was incredibly comforting, thorough, witty, professional and prompt. This was one of the most pleasant medical procedure experiences that I have had. The screening nurse on the telephone reviewed my chart in great detail. The same is true of the nurse who brought me into the pre-op area. The anesthesiologist was caring, cordial and professional. The recovery area nurse was energetic, attentive and incredibly personable. I hope that I did not miss anyone, but they should all know that they were an incredible team and I feel that they took outstanding care of me! Thank you.

Dr. shoji is wonderful..He is a skilled surgeon and has a warm and caring personality.

I met with Dr. Shoji recently to talk about the adhesions that caused my small bowel obstruction. He took the time to go over all of my scans with me and explained the surgery in a way I could clearly understand. He has operated on me twice before for hernias, so I know firsthand how skilled he is. Beyond that, he is one of the kindest doctors I've ever known, and feel truly fortunate to be in his care again.

Dr. Shoji was very thorough in explaining my situation. He went over the CT scan with me and also drew a diagram to explain everything. He is very personable and he was a pleasure to meet with.

Dr. Shoji showed me several scans and x-rays to illustrate as he explained the medical diagnosis and how and why he will repair and reconstruct the area. What to expect after surgery. Dr. Shoji also asked medical questions which I answered and allowed me time to ask questions. He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He spent at least 45 minutes with me and didn't rush through anything.

It was exactly what I would have wanted in an initial consultation. Dr. Shoji had reviewed my case before entering the exam room, and he carefully explained his interpretation of my situation.

Dr. Shoji came in exactly at the time of my appointment, bumped elbows with me and my wife and clearly had spent time reviewing my medical history before the appointment. He asked questions about my experiences and observations of the hernia, conducted an exam and then proceeded to explain in great detail, including a hand drawn diagram, his observations from the exam and how it can be easily repaired. He has a very easy going, straight to the point and enjoyable manner. Both my wife and I felt very well cared for. Dr. Shoji's Assistant, [redacted], was also extremely helpful and caring, a joy to work with to schedule the surgery. They are a wonderful team and I cannot speak highly enough of them.
