The nurse who initially brought me in was very quick, very matter of factly, could have been a little bit more pleasant, but she was fine. Dr. Mackool is fantastic.

Dr. MacKool's is the very best dermatologist one could ask for. I am very fortunate she looks after me.

My provider was wonderful. Her care would have been even better and easier for her had the patient table been functioning. The leg extension did not work on the table. In addition the table did not move up and down which made it more difficult for Dr. Mackool to take the biopsy on my lower leg.

[redacted] She spent 5 minutes at the most with me. Last year, she gave me a thorough skin check, even looking in private areas. This year, she glanced at my body & asked if I had any concerns. I don't mind waiting for a doctor as long as they give me the appropriate time & care. This time, she didn't. I was very disappointed. [redacted]

Dr Mackool was very warm , kind and very respectful. The biopsy she did was done without any pain and I was totally comfortable during the procedure . Overall a great experience!

I have been seeing Dr. Mackool for a very long time and really do think she is an excellent physician. It's just so difficult to get an appointment with her and she is always so behind. I make an extra effort to be early for all of my medical appointments and it is frustrating to not be shown the same courtesy. I should not have to block 3- 4 hours of my day for a dermatology appointment which is what it often is when I factor in commute time to and from and then the appointment time.

The Nurse was so kind and efficient. She explained in detail how to do my wound care and gave me time to ask questions. And Dr.MacKool is fabulous and such an amazing Doctor.She takes such good care of me and explains everything in detail and helps me understand procedures before doing them and care afterwards. She is truly the best in my book !!

Great attention to detail which is needed as a dermatologist

There was a medical student who spoke to me and was present during my exam. I was not asked if this was ok. Dr McCool was rushed a did a cursery exam. I did not feel comfortable [redacted].

I did not feel I received a thorough examination. In fact, I have history of having bad molds in areas that she did not even check.

Dr Mackool was thorough about checking my history against what she was seeing that day.

We are so fortunate having Dr. MacKool as our dermatologist. Not only she continues to take care of me and my daughter all kinds of dermatology issues, she always verifies all of our meds to ensure there is not any conflict among them. Pls note Dr. MacKool is one of the two only physicians who always verify such info. In the past 2 years, she has cured my 'bleeding legs', she takes care of the bruises and off color skin. Her staff always followed up with our progress which is very unusual these days. She didn't hesitate to help my daughter when her head had a bleeding puss even when she was overbooked. Dr. Mackool was kind and listened to me talk about my history with derm, asked me social quetions and was respectful in the room. She asked me if I had any active concerns and I watched her document them, however she did not ask me any questions about them or look at those parts of my body in detail or discuss a treatment plan OR why she was not concerned about them. She was hyper-focused on a resolved issue in my problem list that has not been a concern for years, was ruled out by other specialists and was not a reason for my visit. She prescribed me a medication for a minor aesthetic problem that I am not interested in taking and did not discuss risks/benefits of a medication that comes with specific instructions and a laundry list of warnings, specifically for women of child bearing age, which I am. [redacted] I felt rushed, likely because I was only in for a skin check and have no active problems in her eyes. That being said, she is clearly an excellent dermatologist who is well respected in the office, and I would return to her for any significant issues,[redacted]

[redacted] she was very rushed, my daughter, has some developmental disabilities and rather than talking to my daughter who was the patient, she immediately realized it would be quicker to talk to me, the mother, and she ignored mostly my daughter. She didn't really explain what was going to happen other than she used the phrase after looking at a growth on her lip that, yep, that's worrisome, we need to have a surgeon look at that. They'll take it off in the office. And then she got up and left, which, was concerning and left us with a lot of questions and a lot of worry. [redacted]

[redacted] I was brought back to a room, spoke with a resident, the resident started to scan my body for moles, and Dr. Mackool didn't come in the room until 9:45. I had expressed that the body scan is important to me because it's been a while since my last body scan and both of my grandfathers had skin cancer. The resident continues to inspect my skin and Dr. Mackool goes through my history with me and determines I have 6 different risk factors that could contribute to melanoma. She takes a look at 1 or 2 moles and then gets a phone call and steps out of the room. The resident continues with my appointment inspecting the moles and asking me questions. After the 5 minute phone call, she comes back in, inspects 1 or 2 more moles, asks if I have any questions and then just leaves. All in all it felt like she only spent 10 or so minutes with me and had to leave for a good chunk of time to take the phone call. I feel like maybe there were areas or moles the doctor might have missed and areas the resident saw but the doctor did not. I'm sure the residents are great, but for someone who was told they have 6 risk factors and a history of melanoma, I wanted more reassurance from the doctor in looking at my moles that I was okay. So I still have a question. I talked to her nurse Friday. I didn't get an answer today. So I'll have to call again tomorrow. And hopefully she can get to this provider, Dr. Mackool, and get me an answer. No, I really would not change Dr. Mackool.

Excellent in general. Frankly, the clinic seems to be understaffed. The staff may have been delayed getting to me because they were doing a thorough, professional job with patients scheduled before me, which is probably the best way to operate. I'd rather wait than have doctors and nurses hurry through an earlier appointment in order to keep to a (perhaps too tight) schedule.

She did a body scan marked me with purple marker that doesn't come off easily and I had to go to work. [redacted] She told me she was going to remove the one on my back, no biopsy, didn't say if anything was wrong, just to make an appointment before December for removal and I shouldn't wait past then.
