I am very lucky to have Dr. Alkire on my team. He is a wonderful doctor. You are very lucky to have him at Mass Eye and Ear.

Dr Alkire is fantastic. He is caring, thoughtful and cares about his patient's whole life and how hearing and hearing problems affect one's whole life. He is very sensitive to the issue of cost too which is an issue for me as I consider hearing aids.

dr. Alkire is the consummate professional, who also treats me as a person and remembers my past history. He also gave me an overview of my status with my hearing and suggestions as to how to improve the accuracy. Things I never would've thought about or brought up. He has my ultimate care in mind at all times.

I thought all was lost until I spoke with this doctor. He listened intently to what I was saying I have been suffering for many years from the condition that I have. It's called Tintanus And he was able to help me to know that I was not lost and that he will be able to help me so that I would be able to have or be able to deal with the tintuness that I have in my ears. I was very, very happy once I hung up the phone after speaking with him again he gave me hope very soft-spoken asked me a lot of questions. I had questions as well and he was able to answer them immediately again, I thank him for that.

I don't speak English, but I do speak Spanish. My son always accompanies me there, but the doctor is excellent, and the entire staff there has treated me very well.

This is the 1st provider that has truly listened and treated me with respect at Mass General almost ever. You need more providers like this.

The doctor explained my injury and possible treatments in a way that was clear and understandable to me. Like other doctors and professionals I have encountered at MGB he was attentive, descriptive and gave me opportunities to ask questions.

Dr. Blake Alkire was fantastic! He listened to all my concerns, assessed my tonsils, and provided treatment advice that aligns with my needs and aversion towards antibiotics. He is one of the few doctors I've seen in my adult life who didn't need to rush out to door or express frustration towards answering patient questions. I really appreciated him anticipating what questions I might have regarding his assessment and providing instructions for how to contact him if my symptoms reappeared.

This is what the mass eye and ear infirmary doctor should be like. Number one, extremely personable. Number two, extremely knowledgeable. Number three, extremely charming. Number four, really terrific ability to explain a complicated situation very simply and not to be arrogant if I asked for further explanation if it got beyond me. Anyhow, a totally positive experience. And as far as getting an appointment on time, I called, they had a cancellation the next morning at 8 a.m. So I got the next appointment after I called them after 4.30 the day before the appointment. So no complaints there. I got a million complaints about the prig of the EMGH and the eye and ear infirmary in those matters, but not with this.
