Dr. Caughey was 10/10. I saw him, personally, not simply a nurse. I felt very well cared for.

I really appreciated that Dr. Caughey took the time to schedule me when I was already on the campus. I felt like he went out of his way to make sure that he saw me. I appreciated his in-depth review and understanding of my case, and I appreciate his ability to meet me where I'm at and provide really high-quality care so that I feel like I have complete trust and don't need to be questioning the next steps about my case. He's also very prompt at getting the appointments with other specialists on his team, which I really appreciate.

I found everyone very welcoming considerate and very perfectional.

Dr Caughey spent much time with me discussing all aspects of my situation now and was incredibly helpful

  • Reviewed on 11/23/2025

Calm, kind, knowledgable, and patient. He knew that he was not going to be the next step in my current treatment, so he was able to get the surgeon who was to join the appointment right before meeting with me. He also helped me access care outside of what was required that will help me overall. Then he made a telehealth appointment to check in with me in a month just to be sure nothing about my care had fallen through the cracks. No notes, just gratitude and thanks.

Dr Caughey explained everything with expert knowledge, compassion and empathy for my colon cancer treatment. He answered all my questions. I appreciate all the time he spent with me planning my cancer treatment plan, going above and beyond to accomodate my needs since I am traveling about 100 miles to receive care at MGH.

First time visit with Dr. Caughey and was very comfortable with him. The fact he was delivering good and promising treatment news made for a good visit and his manner of delivering the news was easy, filled with explanation and with realistic goals.

Love Dr. Caughey. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I have. Often with cancer there is no clear cut decisions, he always talks with me about the various options and the benefits and risks. He speaks with other other doctors and surgeons on the team so I know I am getting many different views on what the best path forward is.
