I've worked with Dr. Nath as my primary care doctor for like 40 years. I love her. She's wonderful. It seems like she's only gotten better and better. I haven't seen her as my primary care, but as a GI specialist. And Dr. Nath is the best. She knows her stuff. She handles everything correctly. She always replies and she's a pleasure to work with.

I was referred to SHED by my local GI. I chose Dr. Nath based on her training and patient reviews. She was everything I expected and more and I am so glad to now be in her care. PS The only reason she didn't have all the information she needed about my medical history is because it is in multiple places as a result of hospital mergers/acquisitions and failure of integrated systems. When I offered to send her information from access to my portals, she responded, "No, let me do the work." I was extraordinarily impressed by this, by her genuineness (if that is a word), compassion, thoughtfulness, and compassion. She was very much worth the wait to see her.

She compared my current endoscopy results to those reported by a NYC doctor and said I do not have Barrett's Esophagus which was reported by the NY doctor. She explained probably why the other doctor's report was different. Certainly it is important to know I don't have that disorder nor metaplasia which was reported. Dr. Nath was thorough and listened to everything I had to say. She explained everything very well and said she would put everything in writing.

This was my very first visit with Dr. Nath. So while she didn't have any of my medical history at the start of our visit, she took a very thorough history from me and spent ample time learning my history to understand why I was establishing care. I told her I had never felt so heard and seen by a doctor, because she spent so much time with me, wanting to help dig into what could be causing my symptoms, and try to make sure we weren't recreating any previous attempts to address the symptoms. She was more thorough than any doctor I have ever seen, and I am very excited to continue working with her to hopefully finally find relief for my issues.

Dr. Nath listened to me and took my concerns and updates seriously. She was never dismissive of anything I had to say. She gave me all the time I needed, which was greatly appreciated. I wasn't able to book an appointment in the timeframe she requested because there were no open spots in her schedule, even for my virtual appointment. MGB could do better by not overfilling provider's caseloads and putting a hold on new patients until that provider meets a certain threshold of open appointments per week/month. MGB could hire more providers in order to accommodate new patients and get them seen in a timely manner. Current patients should not have to wait extended times between appointments, beyond what a provider requests. New patients should be able to see a provider in a timely manner as well. You can do better MGB, you are one of the top healthcare providers in the country and in the world. Your patients deserve the most innovative & comprehensive care; that includes their healthcare coordination.

I have a lot of health issues so I have seen a lot of health care providers. My experience with Dr. Nath was by far the best experience I have had with any provider I have seen to date. She was so knowledgeable about my condition, listened intently to all my concerns, answered all my questions and together we came up with an action plan to address my condition. She also provided me with a way to contact her if needed which completely alleviated my anxiety.

The provider was very late, but this is because of an error in scheduling, of which we both were victims. It is important for providers to be assisted in the best way possible, and I think this didn't happen this time.
