Dr. Mertens is always very attentive. She is extremely knowledgeable about her craft and she has a lot of empathy and compassion and her way of doing things has changed my life and I think that even though I have a chronic illness, I know that I'm being taken care of in a proper way. She's extremely, extremely generous with her time and I appreciate not only Dr. Mertens, but her whole team. They are excellent.

Dr. Mertens combines technical expertise with a pleasant candor. She listens attentively, asks relevant questions, and presents an understandable treatment action plan. Summarily, it was a great experience.

Dr. Mertens had taken a lot of time to review my situation, my case. I was seeing her as a transfer from my previous pulmonologist. She was very knowledgeable about what had gone on with me and talked to me about it and spent a good deal of time with me as a preliminary get to know a new patient. I really enjoyed the visit.
