Dr Mertens was a new provider for me which can be daunting. Fortunately, she was wonderful, and I felt completely comfortable.

She was very thorough going through my medical record and answering all my questions. She was also very friendly and easy to talk to.

Dr. Mertens is extremely kind, and caring. She is knowledgeable about my condition. She explains everything and we come to a decision about my care together. She advises me about what can wait, and what we should act on immediately. I trust her implicitly with my care.

Dr. Mertens was thorough and quick to call back and provide next steps for my care plan. She was able to set my mind at ease which is truly appreciated.

The entire staff was kind, courteous and professional.

The care provider was attentive, well-informed and very helpful. We discussed test results, possible treatments and possible followup action. I felt that the appointment was excellent.

She was wonderful and it was my first visit and I am waiting to have follow-up appointments and also some testing done. So I'll know more better, you know, after I have some test results done. She is extremely knowledgeable about her craft and she has a lot of empathy and compassion and her way of doing things has changed my life and I think that even though I have a chronic illness, I know that I'm being taken care of in a proper way. Dr. Mertens combines technical expertise with a pleasant candor. She listens attentively, asks relevant questions, and presents an understandable treatment action plan. Summarily, it was a great experience.

Dr. Mertens had taken a lot of time to review my situation, my case. I was seeing her as a transfer from my previous pulmonologist. She was very knowledgeable about what had gone on with me and talked to me about it and spent a good deal of time with me as a preliminary get to know a new patient. I really enjoyed the visit.
