I don't think that this provider explained my condition or the reasons why they're denying to have, to take my surgery and do my surgery at Mass General. I don't think that he did a very good job explaining himself. And I was in shock because he told me a diagnosis, which was why I wasn't having the surgery there, but didn't explain what the diagnosis was. [redacted]

Dr. Aneja and the entire team from nurses to anesthesiologists, from the nurses before the procedure, the nurses and staff during and to the nurses after the procedure, everyone was extremely professional. Everyone answered all of my questions, explained to me everything that they were doing, everything that was happening, every medication that I was getting, every step along the way was explained to me. I never had a doubt of what was happening. Even when the surgery had got pushed back two hours, to no fault of anyone there, they made me comfortable and made me aware of the new time frame that the surgery was occurring.

Dr Aneja preformed 4 surgeries over the course of 2 years to repair my femur, which broke twice in different locations. He would not operate until after I was given a large battery of tests to assure that the breaks were not caused by cancer. They were not. This leg did not heal after the first surgery, most likely because I was given a cortisone shot by a Doctor at a different hospital. A year later, another surgery to that site was preformed but, on my 3 week follow-up, X-rays showed that I had a new break. Dr. Aneja was at a conference in Montreal during this visit. His staff informed him of the new break. Dr Aneja left the conference in order to do another, challenging surgery.. I can't thank Dr. Aneja enough. He did extra-ordinary work. Without his expertise, I might be in a wheel chair. He is an outstanding surgeon and an exceptional caregiver.

While I was happy to be seen after Labor Day holiday, it seemed the provider was over scheduled and not interested in me the patient but the fact my X-rays (which I have not seen or reviewed with him) said I was not a surgical candidate. That is a relief but of course with 3 pelvic fractures one week old I would have liked to understand from this orthopedist what to expect and how best to heal and resume a good quality of life. [redacted] Without an Orthopaedic quarterback there seems to be little hope for coordinated best outcomes. He did not really ask about my pain or medications.

The entire orthopedic section has been wonderful to me. Starting with the 2 guys in extras checking you in as they make you laugh and feel comfortable waiting for X-rays . After that you check in areas and they are always nice. The doctor and his team are onto of test results and they physically check your walking etc. Every person I have had contact with has been helpful and pleasant . MGH is a great hospital.

His knowledge personality and confidence is very strong, which gave me confidence that I am in safe hands to get treated without any worries, he is very humble, soft spoken, friendly and caring person without any ego. His whole team of Doctors, assistants and administration team has been very helpful in accommodating our requests as we are from Arizona.

I am happy with my provider, but I do not like the office protocol of incessant identity verification. You take it to an excessive level and it's extremely annoying.

I fell and needed a trauma orthopedic doctor. The resident and the Dr were excellent and gave me good recommendations

  • Reviewed on 4/7/2025

Dr. Aneja is pleasant and courteous. His actual physical examination is brief because x-rays show most of what he needs to determine my progress. He always showed me the progress from the prior x-ray to the current one and explained what he saw on the film. I think he did a remarkably good job of surgical intervention.
