Overall a positive experience; not withstanding, I miss how medicine used to be where the primary care physician was took more of a leading role in care - kind of like a quarterback or project manager. Since I've been seeing her as my primary care physician, Dr Hyat has been effective and efficient with her referrals to specialists in orthopedica, cardiology and urology, but with this recent visit I felt she was too quick in discouraging my request to include a testosterone level check as part of my blood work. Telling me that should be something I should request from my urologist. While that might sound reasonable at first, it is inefficient to get a second blood work done at a different time when all the tests could be done with a single stop. My hope is to stop my annual visits to the urologist since he seems to have effectively managed my benign enlarged prostate and ED, When I take my car to the shop for maintenance of my tires and battery, they don't send me to a different garage when I ask them to check the oil.

My endocrinologist recently left Mass General and my primary care doctor, who isArooj Hyat, her office called me to schedule time to talk to her before I even had a chance to reach out myself. I was so surprised they proactively reached out to me because my endocrinologist left Mass General and I was really touched by this great tech gesture. I had a great call with Dr. Hyat. She's so knowledgeable. I really felt heard and I feel like I have a really good plan in place. So I'm really thankful to her. She's great. Thanks.

Caring and thoughtful provider working on my issues

My primary care physician is highly skilled, deeply knowledgeable and provides me with top tier care with regards to my health and wellness. I could not be more pleased with Dr Hyat. Long term, is invested in my health and well being, care with follow up on prior issues, interest in deeper explanation of prior hospitalization.

Dr. Hyat is not understanding of disabilities such as autism, anxiety, depression, bipolar. She was very dismissive, and has been for years, and never asks exploratory questions about my mental health. She also never asks questions about my physical health unless I bring something up.

She is generally thorough and well informed. My only issue is that she does not always address or ask my chief complaint, but rather addresses her own questions about my recent history, which are also relevant, of course.

I felt that the appointment was rushed. It was an annual appointment that happened too quickly. There weren't enough follow-up questions or open-ended questions about other concerns that I might have had. I was left feeling that we didn't cover everything given that I only see her once a year [redacted]. It was too quick and felt rushed. It had not been this bad in the past, but this time that was the case.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hyat for many years and hope things stay that way. I had a very concerning issue that needed quick attention. I messaged her with details and the office called within a few hours and made the appointment for a visit the following day. That was great follow up and patient support (as usual!) I am very satisfied with Dr. Hyat and the office folks (again!). We are still assessing my situation but I feel I have a great team looking out for me.

The doctor actually called me. I had concerns about my blood pressure being high, so that's the reason I went in, which I thought was remarkable that a doctor actually calls you these days. The nursing staff, I never have a problem with. In the front desk, they're always very kind and very fast. I would recommend this office anytime.

I just feel like I always come out of my appointments or physicals with more questions than answers. I don't feel that there is enough time spent with my Dr. during my physical appointments ever. That is not always necessary my providers fault but there should be more support for patients, from understanding test results in "ENGLISH" not medical garb. To having detailed after visit notes also in ENGLISH to be able to understand what exactly was accomplished with my visit. I sometimes just feel so disappointed and disillusioned about my visits.
