Dr. Hwang is an exceptional internal medicine specialist. From the moment I chose him, he diagnosed my diabetes 2 and promptly took action to manage my blood sugar levels. He successfully brought my A1C from 12 to borderline normal. Five years later, he offered me the option to access a proven medication that not only stabilizes my glucose levels but also supports the health of my heart and kidneys. Dr. Hwang is meticulous about ensuring that all medications are compatible and closely monitors their effectiveness, considering both medical benefits and the patient's economic value. His professionalism and bedside manner make him an ideal internal medicine doctor. I am completely confident in his abilities and care.

I have yet to have a traditional physical exam of the sort that every previous PCP has given me every year. I feel like this is possibly substandard care because I'm in a wheelchair and it would take extra time to transfer to an exam table and deal with clothing. I will give Dr. Hwang credit for getting me weighed.

He's easy to discuss my medical issues, and he always has a plan or some knowledge of what I should do to improve. I've been seeing him for about three or four years right now, and he's excellent. I'm glad he's on board. And as far as MGH, MGH is the best around, in my opinion, been going there for over 35 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. [redacted]

Dr. Hwang does a great job in a broken system. It is not an MGH-caused problem, but the demands on PCP's are absurd and unrealistic. Can MGH take the lead to fix this broken shstem?!?

I continue to be flabbergasted by the excellent quality of care. I can't recall the last time I had a PCP spend the amount of time just talking to me about anything I wanted to talk about. He asked insightful questions, demonstrated compassion and most importantly - patience. He clearly weighed my input when suggesting a treatment plan for me, it made me feel like an actual partner in my health care, and not somebody just being told what to do by The Doctor.
