For example, he explained the risks of elevated cholesterol levels and how they increases with age, recommending that I start taking a statin. He also provided helpful advice on healthy meals. He recommended trying physical therapy to help with shoulder pain from sleeping on my side.

The doctor listened very carefully to all of my health concerns and provided options for dealing with each including follow-up visits with specialists. I did miss most of the items that used to be parts of the annual "physical" such as the ECG and prostate check. The only physical part of the meeting was when he listened to my heart and breathing.

During my annual 'Wellness Visit', Dr. Fauteux listened thoughtfully to my major health concerns around ongoing leg/back pain and weakness and instability re: Degenerative DIsc Disease. He offered constructive options moving forward to include steroid injections through NWH pain clinic or physiatrist. He confirmed my current level of statins was appropriate given current blood tests. He concurred that home blood pressure monitoring conveyed appropriate numbers. We also enjoyed sharing a minute or two of conversation about his infant son and his gratitude for NWH NICU. He presented as thorough and thoughtful, professional and personable!

Very good experience. My regular PCP wasn't available, but the doc I saw was v good. The only negative to my visit was that the phlebotomist was remarkably unaware of needle phobia and I was not able to get my blood drawn.
