Amgad Mohammed Haleem Ahmed Amin, MD, PhD

This orthopedist was absolutely awesome. He has volunteered at Special Olympics, so he definitely knew how to talk to my son. I'm an OT. I've worked with lots of orthopedic surgeons. I would say most of them may be really good at their surgery, but not so great with patients. This guy, I would refer anyone at any age for him. He was awesome, and so was his physician's assistant.

Dr. Haleem is fantastic. He is kind, receptive to my concerns, and seeks to make sure that I receive the best possible treatment for my foot.

My condition is complicated due to past complications. This surgeon is very aware of the complications I have and is accommodating as much as possible in treating me. Even second opinion, opinions have suggested that he is the best. I am very satisfied with my past surgery with him and my present concerns that he is attending.

Dr. Haleem is outstanding. Technically, I should have been seeing someone else for my hip pain but I have such great experiences with Dr Haleem, his office was my first phone call. A testament to his professionalism and care, he never mentioned that he is focused on foot ankle issues. Instead he prescribed x-rays, explained the results and set up referrals to specialists he determined would be needed. Dr. Haleem is a big reason I travel to Mass General Brigham for my care!

I felt that Dr. Haleem was very knowledgeable about the subject matter that we discussed in my appointment. However, I wish that I had a little bit more time to speak with him, but I understand that his schedule was very busy, so I'm very cognizant of the fact that the time that we were allotted in my appointment is the time that we were allotted. So I do feel like we were able to discuss everything that I needed to discuss. I just wish that we were able to have a longer discussion about it. But it was a consultation. And if I were able to have more visits with him, we would be able to discuss more in depth. But I do feel like I got everything that I needed out of that consultation. And I feel like he was very knowledgeable and he listened fully to me. And I'm grateful for the visit that I had with him.

He's the best, and I mean the BEST in the business. I had 4 operations from supposedly top notch doctors, from Boston. They all did the same surgery over and over again, losing more bone in my ankle. On the 4th surgery, my foot had to get it replaced by metal. They blamed it on my diabetes. when I saw Doctor Haleem, he knew right from the start that it wasn't diabetes, I was allergic to nickel. He saved my foot and I'd do my surgery over and over again to a doctor like him. The BEST.

Great explanation and caring provider

Excellent care. The office called first thing the next morning after my ER visit and I was seen by the resident and attending doctors that afternoon! Both were friendly and took time to describe both the injury itself and the cause of it (prednisone and cipro). Most importantly, they described the intervention options. The attending doctor gave a clear opinion that surgical and non-surgical treatments would have equal outcomes. The woman at the office, who fitted me for the foot boot, was thorough in explaining how to put it on. Excellent, patient-centered care all around. I feel fortunate to be a patient at MGHB.
