Dr. Adeline Boatin is an Ob/Gyn specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston. She is also a researcher and educator at Harvard Medical School.
She received her undergraduate education at Harvard College and her medical degree at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons University. She completed an MPH with a focus on International health at the Harvard School of Public Health and then completed a four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Harvard Integrated Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Boatin is currently an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She is also an affiliate faculty for the Center for Global Health at MGH and the Program for Global Surgery and Social Change at Harvard Medical School. In addition to clinical care and resident training at MGH, she is an NIH-funded clinical researcher with a focus on reducing global reproductive health inequities, particularly around the provision of safe and quality obstetric and gynecologic surgery in low resource settings. Her current research is based in Mbarara, Uganda.
Dr. Boatin practices general obstetrics and gynecology at MGH. Some of her particular clinical interests include colposcopy, gynecologic surgery including management of fibroids, heavy bleeding, benign ovarian cysts and intrapartum care for laboring women.
She strongly believes in educating and mentorship and has received the AK Goodman award for mentorship from the Dept of OB/GYN at MGH and the Young Mentor Award from Harvard Medical School.
Away from research and clinical work, she loves the outdoors and weather permitting enjoys long walks, hikes, biking and many water-based activities.

She is very professional and has excellent bedside manners and is very efficient in her work , informed me each step of the process of what she was doing and explained to me the steps of what would happen after the visit , made me feel comfortable and understood

My provider was extremely thorough. She was super helpful and calming and really answered all my questions. She listened to me. She was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend her to everyone. So I have only good things to say about her. She was really just so calming and sweet and really informative and really educational, and she really went over everything, and that was so helpful. And she talked me through the whole coloscopy or whatever it's called. the whole exam really slowly and we had a lot of patience and was really good at explaining everything in such a nice manner.

I had a lot of anxiety coming into this appointment, and Dr. Boston & her team really understood how to handle it. DB was kind, accommodating, and efficient without rushing; her team put me at ease and used distraction techniques to distract from the anxiety I was feeling. I'm truly grateful for this group of competent, brilliant women.

I received a letter from the doctor explaining what the procedure was all about. I also received information about the procedure and side effects from the nurse. The team made me feel comfortable and safe for a procedure that I was dreading.
