Dr. Fisch is a subspecialist in Head and Neck Pathology, Endocrine Pathology, and Molecular Genetic Pathology. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine as a member of the Medical Scientist Training Program. Dr. Fisch's longstanding interest in genetics and disease pathophysiology began during his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, which influenced his decision to pursue his graduate thesis work in pharmacogenomics, and ultimately led to a career in anatomic and molecular genetic pathology. Following medical and graduate school, Dr. Fisch completed the anatomic pathology residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, the Harvard-wide molecular genetic pathology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the head and neck and endocrine (thyroid and parathyroid) pathology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear.
