This provider was very respectful, listened to me very carefully and didn't make me feel rushed, answered any questions that I had. It was a good experience overall.

My overall experience with Dr. Nelson, his staff, the person, his nurse practitioner, they were wonderful. The entire office was great. It was comfortable. They took time. They listened. It was a much better experience than I've had in the past going into my endocrinologist in Boston. So this was a very good experience and I actually left the office feeling positive and relieved. So he was great. They were great. So thank you.

Dr Nelson is an excellent physician. Very rarely can I say that about a doctor. He listens, he is engaged, he is responsive to questions and he is well informed. He is not rushing into the room with a prescription pad in his hand. I greatly appreciate Dr Nelson and the way he provides care.

It took a very long time to get to see an BWH doc after first having seen an MGH Endocrinologist. That hand-off delay left my diabetes poorly managed for far too long. Dr Nelson and [redacted] finally put things on track when they took over management. Both top flight clinicians and much appreciated.

Dr. Nelson has been wonderful. He was my doctor at [redacted] before he moved over to Brigham and Women's, and I followed him to Brigham and Women's just for the fact that he's very, very easy to talk to. [redacted] everything he does, every test he does, explains it all thoroughly. [redacted] Dr. Nelson is very, very, very good. So and that's all I have to say about him.

Dr. Nelson is outstanding. He listens, provides good guidance, treats my condition actively, and seeks to reduce my medications if possible. He ordered tests in a timely manner to monitor my condition. I had the opportunity to stay with the Survivorship Program at DFCI when Dr.Nelson went to MGB, but decided to follow him because I trust his care for my condition.

He was very patient and good listener or attentive to what I was saying. It was my first appointment with hom. I really appreciate him.

Listen to what I had to say

I only see Dr Nelson once a year but he was familiar with my medical background and surgical history. He answered all of my questions, and even though many of them were not related to his field of endocrinology, he answered them throughly and to my satisfaction. I hope to be assigned to Dr Nelson for all of my time in the Survivorship Program.

This is what I wrote the day after my visit: Yesterday I had an appointment at Brigham & Women's to see Dr. Nelson and to have my six-month Prolia Shot. He was an hour and a half late to see me. And then I learned he had not scheduled a Prolia Shot for me even though it's been at least six months since my last shot or more. He was unable to locate the date of my last shot, but I feel certain it was six months ago as I have the shot every six months. In addition, it's been two years since I had a bone density test and he did not seem to know this, but said he would schedule one for me. [redacted] During my appointment with Dr. Nelson I told him I was upset and he did apologize but seemed unable to rectify any of the problems. [redacted]
